Overview

The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security, delivered by Come To UK Academy, is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and technical skills needed to address cyber threats in modern digital environments. This diploma helps learners build core expertise in areas such as penetration testing, digital forensics, malware analysis, ethical hacking, artificial intelligence, and database systems.
This Ofqual-regulated qualification is benchmarked at RQF Level 5, which is equivalent to the second year of a UK undergraduate degree. Learners completing this qualification will gain a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are highly relevant to the fast-evolving cybersecurity sector. The qualification comprises six mandatory units carrying a total of 60 credits.

Databases (Unit Reference: K/650/5107)
Digital Forensics (Unit Reference: M/650/5108)
Ethical Hacking (Unit Reference: T/650/5109)
Malware Analysis (Unit Reference: A/650/5110)
These modules are designed to develop applied technical skills and critical cyber expertise for progression to higher qualifications or specialised job roles.

Entry Requirements

Learners must fulfil at least one of the following criteria to be allowed entry to the qualification:
Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 4 diploma or equivalent recognised qualification
GCE Advanced level in 3 subjects or equivalent qualification
Mature learners (over 21) with relevant work experience
English language proficiency at CEFR level B2 or an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent

Progressions

Successful completion of the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security enables learners to access a range of academic and career pathways, including the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Cyber Security or related IT and security qualifications.
As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), it is recognised by UK universities and employers for further progression and job roles.
